Pleasure Drives and Competitive Rally

We will be featuring different opportunities to explore amazing country roads and scenery of North Carolina during the Annual Meet.

Our Pleasure Drive Committee has spent years scouting out the best roads and most interesting places to visit for each drive.

Whether you’re driving a Ferrari or something else, don’t miss this chance to explore the rural countryside of this beautiful part of the country. You will get a chance to do one drive on Tuesday and Wednesday. And if you choose to also extend your stay before or after, you’ll have even more choices and more time to drive.

Tuesday, September 23th

  • A Spirited Rally Drive including the famous Diamond – Lunch provided along the route (5 to 6 hour roundtrip) Start times 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM
  • Member Led Pleasure Drive Same rally as Wednesday’s Member-Led Pleasure drive (option to participate in Hot Laps at the track). Start times 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

Wednesday, September 24th

  • Competition Rally – Competition Rally drivers & navigators will be competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies as they navigate through the picturesque Charlotte NC area featuring spectacular roads, scenic views and challenging questions. We will have a number of intriguing stops. Drive ends at Lake Norman/Peninsula Yacht Club. Grab your clipboard, camera, stopwatch and favorite companion and come drive the challenge.
  • Member Led Pleasure Drive- Wait!  Doing a competition rally just isn’t your thing?  Prefer a more casual Wednesday morning drive instead? Then follow our leader as we take a spirited group tour of the area visiting places only North Carolina can provide.  Drive ends at Lake Norman/Peninsula Yacht Club. Same route as Tuesday Leisure, but with different end point.

You will have plenty of time to get back to The Ballantyne for the cocktail reception and the Awards Banquet.
