The Track

Experience The Monticello Motor Club Track

The track event will be run in accordance with the FCA Track Events Manual and this event’s rules.

FERRARI CLUB OF AMERICA 2026 ANNUAL MEET

TRACK INFORMATION FOR MONTICELLO MOTOR CLUB

Based upon track experience, each F1 registrant will be assigned to one of three run groups:

  • Red = Very Advanced
  • Blue = Advanced

  • White = Intermediate (includes Novice/Green drivers; Green may become a separate group at the Chairs’ discretion)

The three run groups are reserved exclusively for Ferraris or Ferrari-powered cars.

Qualified instructors will be assigned to drivers in the White run group and will be available for drivers in the
Blue and Red run groups. Instructors will also drive their own cars in a separate run group.

To ensure proper run group placement, F1 registrants will be contacted by Track Chair Morgan Duffy
(morgan@haydenwood.com) or by Chief Instructor Chris Vorce (dcvorce@gmail.com). If a driver’s run group
placement can’t be determined before the event, on the track event’s first day a check ride will be conducted by
an instructor to identify the driver’s appropriate run group assignment.

At the track, lunch will be available and included at no extra cost for F1 registrants, F2 registrants, and
instructors. F3 registrants can purchase a track lunch ticket during the registration process if they would like
lunch at the track.

All track event participants must be 18 years of age or older.

THE FCA’S TRACK EVENTS MANUAL

The track component of the 2026 Annual Meet will be run in accordance with the 2026 FCA Track Events
Manual (TEM) and the Monticello Motor club’s rules. Participants can download and study the manual for
details of run group formats, required equipment, and tech inspection and grid inspections.

MONTICELLO MOTOR CLUB-SPECIFIC TRACK REGULATIONS

The FCA’s 2026 Track Events Manual identifies a pivotal principle used to align the FCA’s regulations with a
track’s: “Stricter regulations–whether the FCA’s or the track’s–have priority” (TEM, 29). In several instances,
the regulations of the Monticello Motor Club (MMC) take precedence over the FCA’s rules.

HELMETS

The Monticello Motor Club (MMC) requires that all drivers and passengers wear SA2020 or newer helmets.
SA2015 helmets cannot be used by drivers or passengers.

CONVERTIBLES

Given the MMC’s policies regarding convertibles, Ferraris with retractable hard tops (the California, the
Portofino, and the Roma Spider, for example) will need to have their roll hoops deployed in order to participate in the 2026 Meet’s track component. Convertibles without deployable roll hoops will not be eligible for the 2026 Meet’s track component unless they have (i) aftermarket roll bars, (ii) fixed roll hoops (for instance, a 360 or 430 convertible or an F50), or (iii) “targa” style roofs (308/328 GTS, 348 TS) which are consistent with the FCA’s standards (see the TEM, 17). Importantly, any car–with its driver seated–which has factory or aftermarket rollover protection and which fails the “broomstick” test will not be eligible for the 2026 Meet’s track component.

SOUND LIMIT

The MMC has a self-imposed sound limit of 103 dB. While the MMC is willing to relax the sound limit restriction
somewhat, any car which exceeds that sound limit could be black-flagged.

PETS
Pets are not allowed at the Monticello Motor Club.

TECH AND GRID INSPECTIONS

All cars running in the track event must have completed a full tech inspection within 30 days before the event.
The completed tech form will be submitted at the track during the grid inspection. A tech sticker will then be
affixed to the car. Cars without tech stickers will not be allowed on the track. Tech inspections will not be
available at the track. The tech inspection must be completed by a local dealer or independent service facility
before the event.

DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Drivers must comply with the regulations set forth in the 2026 FCA TEM and with the MMC’s rules.
